NGC recently hosted the third round table of its FF&E Talks Season 3 video series with a dynamic conversation on “From comfort to connection: FF&E’s role in shaping better workspaces.” The panel brought together six leading designers from studios shaping the next generation of offices across the region—Laila Al Yousuf (SAY Studio), Amber Alston Peters (Bluehaus, a tp bennett company), Srdjan Vidakovic (JLL), Nagham Ewaiwi (Gensler), Marcela Munoz (M Moser Associates), and Preveena Bhagianath (INC Solutions).

The discussion, moderated by Marina Mrdjen (Intelier) explored how furniture, finishes, and spatial elements have become central to designing emotionally intelligent workplaces, spaces that prioritise comfort, adaptability, and a deeper sense of human connection. From hybrid work models and generational diversity to material psychology, acoustics, and even thermal comfort, the conversation addressed how FF&E influences not just how we work, but how we feel while doing it.

With wellness, talent retention, and flexibility now driving the next wave of office design, the panellists examined how the smallest decisions, from chair fabric to table height, can significantly impact focus, collaboration, and culture.
