The conversation brought together some of the region’s most innovative hospitality designers—Justin Wells (Wells International),  Lesha Fernando (HBA Associates), Amber Hopkins (LW Design), Merian Eid (KCA International), and Batuhan Gunes (Industry Expert)—to explore how FF&E selections can reflect cultural identity, heritage, and a sense of place, while still appealing to contemporary global travellers.

From natural terrains in Saudi Arabia to the quiet layering of traditional silhouettes in modern forms, the panel, moderated by Marina Mrdjen (Intelier) explored how today’s hospitality interiors are moving beyond literal interpretations of culture, favouring instead a more nuanced, sensory-driven approach to storytelling through material, craft, and form.

With more than 40 years of expertise in wall coverings, fabrics, and flooring solutions across the UAE and Middle East, NGC continues to serve as a trusted partner for the region’s design professionals, helping bring their creative visions to life with high-performance, design-led materials.
