When luxury becomes mainstream, can FF&E still be timeless? That was the question at the heart of the fourth roundtable in NGC’s FF&E Talks Season 3 video series, which gathered some of the UAE’s most forward-thinking voices in luxury residential design. Leila Sobek (BMA Studio), Jacqueline Craft (MWM Studio), Yasmin Farahmandy (Y Design Interior), Joakim Kihlstrom (K4), Hisham Sultan (Finasi), and Milica Dedic (ELE Interior) joined the discussion to unpack what timelessness means in an age of fast design.

Once reserved for the elite, luxury aesthetics are now widely replicated, from marble-effect tables to sculptural silhouettes in flat-pack form, a shift further accelerated by social media. As clients grow more design-aware, the challenge for professionals is to design homes that feel personal and luxurious without being trend-led.

Moderated by Marina Mrdjen of Intelier, the roundtable explored how materiality, craftsmanship and sourcing strategies can elevate design and future-proof spaces in a culture of disposability.
